It is a non chemical choice, will take out spiders and wasp too.

Going to Ocala tomorrow morning, anyone in the market for call ducks, Blue polish, or LF ducks? Oh or a young female Sebastopol? Can haul them with me. Will be taking 40 over from 95.

Wish I could take the Sebastopol.

Oh boy...Beaker, one of my young silkie / Polish hens had gone broody :-/
She has stopped laying her own eggs and startrd claiming the RIR and Cochin eggs as her own...she is NOT happy when i quickly collect the eggs because i want to eat them (they'rr not fertile, as the only roo in the group is at a different house...and i dont want her cooking my eggs before I even crack them!) Ive tried taking her out of the bestbox several times so she can eat (and she scarfs as much food as she can before going back to the nestnox in the coop! Anyone near St. Pete need Beaker to incubate some eggs for you?! Im half-tempted to try to find some fertile eggs from someone local and hatch a few out...heck, I may even let her hatch a fertile RIR egg from my pair at the other property...wait...those are related I believe...would i be setting myself up for a 3-legged, 2-headed RIR chick that would probably end up being another roo that would just end up crowing twice as much?! LOL...so, anyone close to me have any fertile eggs for sale or that they need help with?!

Hello, this is Cassie, Kevin and our son Kasen form South West Florida, Naples to be exact! We are first time chicken owners and have had nothing but a great expierence! My 2 year old son is facinated with birds so we decided why not?! We bought our chicks in may and we have just started getting our first eggs!

!!! Here is a list of what we have:

2 White Leghorns
2 RIR
2 Silver Laced Wyandottes
2 Golden Laced Wyandottes
2 Easter Eggers
1 Dark Brahma

We are looking forward to learning so much on this forum and cant wait to meet fellow Floridians!

I found 14 eggs under my silkies , so I had to candle them so I'm not tossing developing chicks. NONE were fertile. I guess a 4 year old roo is kinda taking a break, or a permanent break. I didn't want any more anyway.
