Somebody say rain? That's all it's done in south Florida for the last three days. My new pen is surrounded by six inches of water, the sod I planted last spring is rotten, and my chickens are about as happy as I am about it.

Holy LLLLOOONNNNGGGGG night it is going to be around here!! A tornado was spotted a few miles for our home earlier tonight, (SO of course we got our kids in a safe place w/ us) but ten I went running outside to save my chickens! hahaha!!! I got soaked but they are tucked away nice & warmly in our barn for the night & out of the wind & rain!! My hubby said I was crazy & if anything happened to then he would "just buy me new ones"

I would love a few new ones, but not at the expense of the ones I have now...

Well the rain & storms have finally slowed/subsided for the moment & I just had to play "supermom" as my 5 year old is calling for him. My poor baby woke up w/ the stomach flu

that has been going around Chobee & Ft Pierce like wildfire & after only about 2 or so hours of being sick he is already getting dehydrated.... So I just got home from Walgreens w/ some pedialyte for him & he is now finally sleeping. Please pray for him to start feeling better soon

& that we don't have another tornado scare tonight, I don't think I can mentally handle anymore at the moment.

Stay safe everyone who is in the path of these storms! Parts of them have been pretty scary!

I'll try to get some pictures but trapping him is gonna be hard cause they are sneeky little brats.

I have 2 rumpless true araucana roosters for sale...pick up only. I was sold these supposed to be pullets. I already have 2 roos, and do not need anymore..PM me or call 863-425-4604. I would be willing to travel a certain distance to meet someone partway. This are beautiful roos, and would make a good addition to someone's flock. I will sell one or both. If you want both, I will knock off some of the price.

DEVASTATED!!! My blue silkie pullet drowned sometime last night...

I guess with all the scrambling around last night to get them inside the barn she must have gotten out & tried to follow me up to the house. I found her this morning our dogs water basin... I am devastated & I can't find the words to tell my precious son about his favorite pullet...
