FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

CDs will work? I'm going to try that. We have hawks around, they haven't gotten any of my little chickens yet, but I know they might someday.

ps that isn't a BR chick.

Just sayin'

CDs, ribbons, shiny eyeballs on balls...really?! Asking because my hens that i keep at my boyfriebd's house arent allowed to free-range anymore unsupervised because a hawk has visited a few times and sat on the fence...my hens are a cochin, a RIR, and 2 silkie mixes, and i dont want to lose any of them to a predator...they have a 10x10x6 pen with a coop, and ive been contemplating putting up some kind of wire or something over more of the yard so they can be out of the pen to prevent hawks from swooping down...ideas?

Here's an important variable I forgot to share with Floridachicken: new membership varies from season to season, so looking at a few weeks of posts from last year at this time would yield more accurate numbers than just a couple weeks chosen randomly. But that's our secret, so better not tell Floridachicken - okay?

I just did the statistics & it's going to take a while to get to 500.. I think. (I'm a education major so I am "rechecking" my work really quick. lol...)

Ok, tell me the date before you enter it into the system.

Here too, for the past few days. We had just dried up from the last system that came through, but I hadn't had the chance to bring any dirt or sand in...now it's all flooded around the pens again, and I'm pretty disgusted!

Not Too wet here..lots of rain but we must be well drained or something...Lisa, did you plant tomatoes? Is it the "right" time of year in Florida to plant stuff like that or can you plant all year round? If so I need to get some started in pots
