Hi Dianne, my youngest has been sick so I haven't been on in a few days. I planted tomatoes, broccoli, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, green beans, and herbs. Technically we can plant year around, but the two limiting factors are the few frosty nights around January, and the excessive humidity of summer. Those are usually the times of the year my garden fades, so I wait a month or two and then replant. This late in the year (especially with tomatoes) it's best to start with plants rather than seeds, or you may not get to enjoy your harvest before it gets too cold. I had mixed success with my spring/early summer garden: the corn was a total failure, and the carrots and onions didn't amount to much, but the beans, bell peppers and tomatoes were great. Home grown tomatoes taste so incredible!
