LoL, poor Juan.

We just hatched Lav Orps Jan 1. Also hatched Blue and lack Orps from Disney, they are huge puff balls. Have a few RLBW hatch too. 30 Lav Ameracuana eggs in now, along with light brahma and more RLBW set to arrive tomorrow. Should restock the eatting egg flock nicely.

Carol,

How is John doing? DH here is having a rough recovery. Hardest surgery for him yet.

Our EE flock is laying great eggs, a couple of black split Lav Ameracuana hens running with them till we move the flocks across the yard. Only the 13 yr old and I to do any fence and building right now so will be slow going. When done though we will have a run for Lav and black Ameracuana, Lav and black Orps, our EE's which I am starting a project with, the eatting egg flock.

We have black copper marans growing out as well as blue and splash Birchen marans. Some of each will be available. Setting some olive eggs this week too those chicks will be for sale.

2 African eggs going into lock down first of the week. Multiple early call duck eggs set hatch late Jan. 1 Sebastopol set and growing. Woooooo ok off to do dinner, bathe the baby and relax.

Wow, what a thread! Im in Clearwater, so gulf coast, Tampa bay! I've been away from the board since we moved to a part of town that didn't allow hens, so my girls live at work (dog kennel with a big awesome flock)

But law just changed so were back!!!

Building our coop now, seeking 4 hens, would like a variety of types, but due to the occasional hawk fly us (and my personal preferences

. ) I'd like big bodied birds, like the orpingtons I had before. Just adore their fat looking bottoms! Let me know if yu have any young lying or soon to be laying girls needing a great home!

Mine lie all the time. It goes like this. "I'm sitting in the egg box laying nice, yummy eggs" when really, they're sitting in the egg box just to keep the other's out!

Welcome back. Glad you can have your chickens now. There's no place like home for chickens. I can't help with the chicken search, most of mine are banties but I'm sure you won't have any trouble. Chicken swap coming up your way. Check the swap pages.

Oh and here is a video I got of my little Serama crowing this morning (9 weeks).. the crow is at 39 seconds.. I was waiting to try and get a few more but alas he didn't cooperate.. the rest is some of my other chickens and more time on the babies
