FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Sorry I couldn't find this post when I got pix. Here they are..I agree not the most beautiful...You can see in the 2nd pic the white one is developing some orange on her breast. Poor babies are still shunned by the rest of the flock but they have each other. I am hoping my friend will take them. She is afraid to get chickens but loves mine.

Could you post a pic of that bird. I've got a EE/Silkie chick and I'm wondering what it'll look like. Right now it's an ugly bird with a mohawk!

The white one is real pretty and the other may turn out to be! I just sold mine today. He/She was starting to look real good with a band of mottled white feathers across the top of the wings and a jaunty crest. I think it'll be a real pretty bird.

Hi All,

Went to the Pampered Pullets Farm Swap today. Picked up my Welsummer Rooster today. Yea!!!!!Found him a few weeks ago and Liz brought him to me at the swap. I am so excited to finally have a Wellie Roo. to go with my Wellie hens.

Thank You Alan for the turkeys, worked on the coop some when I got home. Still need DH help to get it done. So I am so happy I am getting 5 turkeys.

Lots of sellers at the swap, ya'll missed a good one. My friend Korrin bought more Brahmas. Also buying some Marans.

Thank-you Eric and Le for hosting a great swap. Only bad thing about them is I always bring home something that eats.
I can't wait for Eric's book to go to print, so o can get my copy. I already bought 3 for Christmas presents. Eric you need to sign them for me.

I forgot to take any , sorry.

I wish it was raining when I got home. But of wasn't, so I let everybody but the broodys with chicks out. Now I am paying for it. Coyotes came over the fence and took 5 of my birds. My FBCMaran roo (Elvis) was killed defending his girls. They got 2 Orpingtons, 2 Australorp pullets and my boy. Posted about the swap before all this happend. I heard Elvis sound off went out and saw a hawk flying over and thought that was the problem.

My neighbor lost 7 over the past week. So they must have a litter on the ground to be taking so many birds. So going hunting for the den.

. I can't believe we were just talking about this today. Coyotes are really scary. In fact the last time I saw a live one was out by you...just trotting down the road around noon. A friend down in Malabar was loosing his stock to coyotes & he got a guard llama and hasn't had anymore trouble.

Maye, so so sorry. We too had cyote problems before the Pyrenees grew to size. They yotes have now moved on. Heard reports people about a mile away lost a number of goats to them.

Our son raises FBCMarans Maye and so far has no clean legs popping out, no thumb print combs, and no carnation combs. Nice deep egg color too. Let us know if we can be of help, I know he doesn't have plans to keep another roo currently.
