Welcome to BYC. I use grass frames, currently working on a rotation plan. While one or two are growing the flock is demolishing another and I just rotate which they have access to.

Hello! It's nice to meet you! My chickens get their feed, occasional scraps, and whatever bugs and weeds they can scrounge up in my yard. But no grass. I gave up trying to grow anything at all in the area where my chickens are, many years ago. But they seem healthy and happy, so I don't think it's really necessary.
