Hi...my Wyandottes are standard size and my favorite hen is named Loretta...I like silly seeming names for my peeps...I think I have her picked out correctly...watch her turn out to be Arnold or something...lol...this is a great place to meet folks and pick up information...I am so happy I found my way here...

Hello all,
I am located in Labelle, Fl and have 16 Rhode Island Red hens and 4 Roos (a couple of those are sold).

My flock is only about 6 months old and they are laying eggs now. (which I sell at work). Hoping one or some of my girls will go 'broody' soon so I can get some peeps coming up.

Looking forward to meeting local 'chicken' folk.

I ordered 18 breeds this year and my pair of Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are my favorites. The cockerel is large, stately, friendly and calm, as well as gorgeous. The pullet is large, friendly, calm, and beautiful with a red "dress" and beautiful "blue petticoats." I am very proud of my "Tom and Tommy." This pair of chickens always comes to the gate at bedtime for a special hand-fed bedtime snack. They are hard to resist!

Code Enforcement nailed us this week and made us get rid of our chickens. Apparently they changed the Zoning from AG to MH -3 when they paved the road. We have over an Acre a third of which we CAN'T do Anything with because of Utility Easment. Our chickens were Not bothering ANYONE and they were getting the ants way down! Suncoast Estates.I want to fight but not sure how!
