Hello its Bill in Flower Mound TX I have a 2 and1/2 acre lot I've had my chickens for over a year and I'm just now starting to get complaints.I have two Roosters will I have to get rid of them now or what?I would like to talk to some of the Flower Mound people that have done the research for help thanks Bill.214-683-0618

Bill, Roosters are currently legal on one acre or more and no one is contemplating a more strict provision with the ordinance. The changes are to get rid of some outdated provisions with setbacks, free ranging, and smaller lots primarily. There is a noise ordinance, unrelated to chickens, but could apply to your roosters, dogs, garage band, or anything else. I doubt you have much to worry about, but I don't know your exact situation.

We don't have roosters, but my neighbor next door does. I hear them in the day, but it is not problem for me or our neighbors.

There is a Facebook Group for the Flower Mound Ordinance. A lot of Flower Mound folks are also in this Meetup Group. We would love to have you involved.

Need updates on what to do to keep my girls. Subdivision is governed by HOA and jealous, nosey neighbours who would rather cut off their nose to spite their face.
