Flower Power, winter has been to long crochet swap, closes March 10

I typed in "flower granny square crochet tutorial" per Alethea and found a post by bobwilson (who was a lady). It explained the the pattern very well.

I thought Alethea posting it in this thread, but I couldn't find it, so I think she posted it in the crochet chat thread.
It's here, post #44. It is the one with the picture of a blue-green flower being made.

Thank you so much - I'm very excited to try!!!! I have to do something during the next Blizzard of Oz - we're due for that one tomorrow night. Snowmageddon was interesting - 14". We are still trying to find the rest of the driveway, I have a young man coming late this afternoon to finish the back half of the driveway and the sidewalk. That will be just in time for this new bunch. We do need hte moisture, but .... well, it does beat tornados. Going for the sunny side of life.

Here is another nice flower square to try....

I've made the flower portion of this pattern, but have not yet continued turning it into a square.

Instructions are here...http://www.crochetgeek.com/2008/10/blog-post_08.html#!/2008/10/blog-post_08.html

Cool looking square.

I told you my MIL was so excited she can't stand it over this swap, well apparently she was "bragging" to her sister about participating, and now her sister wants to join our swap, that is the Donna I added to the list.

Donna is planning on doing a neat (I think) thing, she is going to crochet the green square and then embroider the flowers on.

That sounds fantastic!

How many are we?

I'll probably send in multiple sets. This is not an altruistic act. I'm travelling again in early April and won't have room for much on the trip. So, I'll send in as much as I can and receive my share when I get home. Tee Hee. Is this wicked?

I have to put this out there: I've been in touch with Rosie, the participant who lost computer contact during the fall swap. She would like to participate in the flower swap, but is concerned that the rest of the swappers will not "trust" her to complete it because her squares never got sent for the fall swap. She was going through a lot at home, but asked a friend to send in the squares for her. Apparently, her friend did not send them. I told her everyone was understanding so there wouldn't be a problem with this swap either. If you all are okay with this, please add Rosie to the list. I will cover her commitment if anything goes wrong. Does that work for everyone?

It works for me. Hope all is well with Rosie.
