Flubenvet 1% wormer dosage!

It appears I have been worming my chickens wrong for years. I was giving my hens one pinch per hen per day in some porridge for 7 days. It turns out they have to eat it mixed with their feed exclusively over the course of each day for 10 days with no other food - the mix is based on the amount of food and not the amount of chickens. I contacted the manufacturer and that is what they have told me. I have never seemed to have any problems with worms, what does everyone else think?

Incorporate the required amount of the product into the daily feed ration.
The daily ration should be fed as a “complete ration” during the 7 day treatment period - ie only feed birds with feed which has been medicated with Flubenvet. At the inclusion rates in the table below, for chicken and geese the ration will contain 30 ppm flubendazole and for turkeys 20 ppm.

Yes - I have this information now thank you. What wormers do you guys all use, I live in the UK but I'm coming on holidays to Georgia in a few weeks and might try and buy some wormer to take back!

Valbazen (albendazole) is a very good one to use, available at some feed stores such as Southern States, Rural King, but not at Tractor Supply. You may also get it online. It is given orally once and then repeated in 10-14 days, with a 14 day egg withdrawal after the last dose. I would use 0.1 ml per pound of weight, and give it orally.

SAFEGUARD Fenbendazole 0.23 ml x 5 days straight
