I am not overly concerned since my chickens show no sign of illness...and this might be totally normal for birds....but then again I am new to keeping chickens.

When my BR hen shakes her head (like when she ruffles her feathers) I notice drops of moisture being flung around. Its clear like water....can anyone explain?

Could be a respiratory infecion. I ran into the same problem with my largest python. If anything I would say RI

If it's clear liquid and only happens when she shakes her head, then it is probably normal and nothing to worry about. Think of it as chicken snot.

If it ever become discolored, crusty, or excessive then it might be a problem. If she ever sounds congested, wheezing, or puffy around her eyes in face, then that could be a problem as well.
