We are in the fly battle, I have made home made fly traps of every type without, much help.
Have cleaned the coop\run daily, and we are still dealing with flies!
No matter what measures we take to combat them...the FLIES still come!
I do not want to use anything that is toxic to the hens, or US for that matter...I am at a loss!!
But, tonight we tried soaking towels in REAL Pine-Sol and hanging them around the outside of the run area! This really seemed to work...but, not sure how good it is for the chickens!
Even though, the chickens can't get to the soaked Pine-Sol towels....anyone know if the pine scent is harmful to them?? Any, ideas on fly control is appreciated!!
