Fly problem

My chicken has recently revived a wound! And I’ve heard the fly strike can be an issue and that isn’t too good for us because we have a TON of flies. Are there any good ways to get rid of flies?

Can you not bring your bird indoors where there are no flies until she heals?
You do not want to deal with fly strike, trust me.

I agree with @Texas Kiki. I use the permethrin spray too and it does a good job on the flies. My coops were loaded with flies but since I have been spraying them on a regular basis this summer during our rainy season there are way less flies. If you have a TSC you can get the dust, premixed spray and the concentrate. I buy the concentrate but I have a lot of coops so I mix it in a gallon sprayer and the wand helps me to reach into the coops better. For smaller places the premixed spray is good. I have had some chicken mites and the permethrin eliminated the mites too and no egg withdrawal period. Good luck...
