Fly Zapper??

I've got DE, and use it in my horse barn and chicken coop, along with SweetPDZ - I sprinkle both every two days or so - still got flies, I sprayed last night - in the barn while the horse was out.
We have cows in the field next to us, and I guess I cann't go over there with the DE....

The only thing I ever caught on the hanging sticky fly strips was my hair!

I make my own fly catcher.
Take a quart maynoise jar, drill 5 or 6 small pencil sized hole in the lid, throw in a piece of fish or fish bone or skin, squid, anything seafood and cover with a couple inches of water. Place the trap in the back of the coop on a fence post and watch it catch flies.
I personally have to change once a month because it fills up full of nasty dead flies. I used to empty it out and reuse, but now its straight into the rubbish can. My SO says I'm just attracting the flies from the neighborhood, but atleast I'm attracting and killing them....I show her the proof of the thousands dead in each jar.
