This is my first attempt to put my pictures on a post of my little Mystery chick who has quite the personality, and today he started to fly about 3' across the brooder?

Anyone have an idea of what he(?) could be, he moves more like a little heron and now the flying thing started, his wings started day one and now he has all these little tail feathers popping out!

I love this shot looks like this chicks stomping on something.

Any help? In the meantime I'm spending the after noon building a top for the brooder!

It's really hard at this age to tell what its breed is as there are several breeds that look like your little chick. Maybe in a month or so it will be feathered out enough to tell. Sure is cute, all of them.

It is hard to tell for sure, but it looks exactly like some black minorcas that I got this year. Mine are real fliers. They were the first ones to fly up to the roosts and they are now 7 weeks old and can easily fly 6 to 8 feet in one shot.
