Hang rags around your coop and pen and soak with diesel fuel. Spray diesel on any thing that will soak it up. We call them bull gnats and they will kill your chickens. But, they will not stay around diesel fuel.

A few spritzes of Horse fly spray is fine- in face it’s recommended for lice and mites too.

Poor guy. You’ll want to make sure he doesn’t get flystrike on top of those facial wounds.

I believe we have some horse spray somewhere. Over summer the horsefly population is horrible. I didn't know that it was safe to use on chickens.

I did clean his face yesterday and today to try and prevent any infections.

I’m in S Mississippi too and the gnats are horrible! Let us know if the zapper helps. I’ll try the horse spray too. I’ve been spraying vanilla, and it helps some, but not enough!

Oh man Buffalo Gnats. I loathed those living down there. They are relentless!

They can kill your birds!

Keep up with the permethrin or get some Revap!

You can use a squeeze bottle and apply under feathers in targeted areas.
