Too funny to find this post as I was just about to ask the same question with my Silkies! They are about 3 weeks and when they are in their big Brooder (big play pin converted) with the 18 other chicks including a large Cochin and they see any flapping, or running etc... two of them always fly up and put their chest out and bang into them as they stand up with beaks up ...like "Bring It ON!"
Total short man syndrome!
well really hoping they are female but only time will tell. ? Does anyone know if this is more common in Roo's and an early sign? Or do both female and male do this for pecking order?
