Flying my fancy pigeons?

I was woundering if i could let my young birds fly around my lofts. I have heard that if the bird was born their that it would stay close to home. Is this ture? They are a young pica and satinette cock.

Of course they will come back

All pigeons do. They'll stay around the loft and then come back in when it's time to eat or time to roost. You can let them out, they should be fine! I let my Sats fly with my homers. Picas should be decent fliers too. You can let the adult birds out, but it's not advised because if they get eaten, you'll have to buy more breeders or wait until the young birds are old enough to lay. Fancy breeds can be settled to a new home at any age!
