Flystrike in hatching eggs?

The fan is a good idea. I am not sure how the momma duck would be able to get in and out with netting around the nest but I’ll definitely look into it! :)

Can you tell me where (in the pic you posted) the nest is? I was thinking just trying to be creative about basically surrounding the nest with the screen? Maybe moving food and water in there and just opening it up for a little bit a few times a day. I imagine she isn't trying to wander too far if her babies are hatching right now, and this will cut down on time the hatchlings are exposed to flies.

I agree, without totally cleaning her nest, its going to be tough to get any ducklings to hatch and stay alive.

Another thought, in the meantime, is I tried one of these for the first time this year, and was amazed at the amount of flies that it caught!! Half full in just a couple of days! :sick Like 5 bucks at tractor supply or Walmart. If you could hang one near enough to attract them away from the nest, but far enough away to get them away from her, it could help. :confused:
