Fodder Question

So how young can you start feeding chicks fodder. Mine are about 7-8 weeks right now and was wondering if they can start getting fodder yet. They are kind bored in the brooder and even with chick sticks and homemade chick sticks they are flying through those like crazy! I can't wait to let the little turds go to the coop. But it's still a bit cold and coop isn't quite ready anyway. So thoughts on age to give fodder?

I gave my 1 week old some to play with today, wheat grass, they ran around with blades of grass thinking they had worms, LOL. I have 4 week and 8 week olds that love it--give yours some they are plenty old enough!
