I grew fodder for the 1st time in a pot outside over the last couple weeks. I think it is ready to give to the chickens. Can I just put the whole pot in their run or what do I do?

The soil is organic but does have some white nutrient pods in it. Will it be ok for them?

They will finish it up really fast! I recommend growing it for 1 week and then clip the top for them, that way, the grass has a chance to grow back.

Hmm, not sure how long that grass is, but maybe try securing a piece of hardware cloth over the top, so the chickens get to work for their treat by plucking off pieces of grass, and also can't get into the soil underneath (so no worry about the perlite or whatever it is in the potting mix, plus it'll keep the plants alive).
