So maybe I should have written on here prior to my first post to say hello to everyone, well Hi! My girlfriend and I are new to chicken keeping, in short we have 3 ex-battery hens and keep them in an Eglu which we have found a great options for newbies.
On arrival Dick (of Tom, Dick & Harry) fully ruled the roost, (perhaps because she was out best condition) and poor crazy Harry was forever being thrown around by her comb.
Anyway 3 months down the line they're all looking in much better nick, enjoy escaping from their outside pen and occasional taunting of my Border Terrier who tolerates them.
I'm glad to say that not only do they all seem to be mates now but I peeked into the Eglu last night to see them all sleeping and not only that but Harry sleeping facing the opposite way to Tom and Dick and actually using Dick's back as a pillow! It was just too cute and a wonderful thing to see.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
