Why would I want anybody to "follow" me, getting updates about what I post and where I post it? If I want to check out what someone is posting, if I believe we share an interest, all I have to do is go to their page and I can see what conversations they are participating in. I don't necessarily want to block a person from seeing what I'm doing I just have a problem with them being sent notifications on what I'm doing.
Call me paranoid but I don't think this type of thing is necessary.
