Following suggestions here, honeybun and I removed our EE dominating rooster Grey Ghost from the 4 hens and the #2 rooster Houdini. He would not let the others leave the henhouse.
Don't feel bad for him though, because he is at my son's farm with 30 sexlink hens. It took him about 2 minutes with the new flock to look around and start strutting and crowing. And if he keeps all of THEM in the henhouse, more power to him!
Houdini is being a much nicer boy with the gals. They no longer huddle on a perch-- they spread out along the rails. They go outside with him. And.. **trumpet blast** today we got a lovely blue egg! I suspect we now have contented chickens
