Food and water

Since my chickens won't be free range and will be in the coop at nite....Do I need to have food and water in both the run and the coop?

I keep food and water in the run, then move the feeders inside the coop to keep rodents away at night. Either way is fine, but they don't need feed or water at night.

Thank you! Don't have chicks yet, not til around the 15th. everything is new. got a lot to learn. but im all excited!

I'm wondering if anybody is raising a free range organic flock have had chickens in the past on the farm but just fed them normal store bought chicken food had to keep them caged because the foxes were ruthlessI'm just looking for some feedback on dietary needs and different diseases I may need to watch for being that they won't be medicated any feedback would be helpful
