I have three beautiful female Pekins that are about a year and a half. They cat nap at night and often eat/drink quite a bit at night. They lay their eggs around dawn each day.

We are now working on a rat problem....I think the moisture around the cage and the underside of the duck run has made for a perfect environment for rats. I would like to put the duck's food away at night, but I don't know if that's o.k. They do eat a lot at night.

Do others take up their duck's food dish at night.? Can Pekin ducks tolerate this alright?

. I put mine away at night

OK, that's good to know. I just wondered since they are kind of "up" all night, if their metabolism needed constant access to food.

I know alot of people don't give them water at night, which means they don't give them food at night, either. They should be fine :)

THanks a bunch folks!
No problem
