Food inc...

Yea,that was a good movie. I also watched the HBO covert one about the pig farm here in Ohio.Forgot the name, but not what was done to those poor animals.I haven't eaten meat in weeks.

Mm. I haven't seen Food, Inc. but I've seen Meet Your Meat which is also pretty confronting.
Me and my friend are actually going vegetarian soon... Really soon

Does anyone recall when they said Monsanto came out with the GMO Soybean resistant to Round-Up?

I've seen that. Great movie but the ending is so sad.

Have you considered pastured meats?
The true cost to the earth through ploughing up pasture land, using pesticides and all the emissions to bringit to market, is astronomical.
Pastured meat is sustainable. And its well cared for.

One thing I noticed in "Food Inc." besides the obvious inhumane-ness of mass production and hitting numbers was that the people involved in the smaller, more healthful operations also tended to be more down-to-earth and involved in their community than those controlled by or operating corporations. Really made you think about the power of networking and also loving what you do, being real and conscientious.

Another good movie on NetFlix is the PBS documentary "Farmers Markets." I would much rather support somebody who is diligently working to create a great product than somebody jumping through corporate hoops to make their boat payment.... (Bubba the chicken factory farmer in "Food Inc." that's you I'm talking about!)
