No. Chickens can’t digest lactose and rice is just a carb

But mine loooove boiled rice, they run for it. And I didn't know they can't digest lactose. Is it bad for them or just useless to give? What about powdered coffee creamer?

Don't know what is OP but yes, we (me and the chicken) are in Bulgaria. We don't have any suitable mix for feathers. And 20% protein... I can only find in duck/turkey starter feed. I bought some canned cat food Whiskas, but it says only 4% protein, weird.

OP means original poster! and lactose gives them disgusting diarrhea so is pointless to give. rice is good in small portions it just doesn’t have any nutritional value

Can you put saddles on the hens with the missing feathers? I did this with a couple of my hens that had lost feathers on their backs from an over enthusiastic rooster. I also round off my roosters spurs with a file. I hope your hens feel (and look) better soon.

I was finally able to find soya beans. Soaked in water until it softens and then gave them. They liked it.
They are still separated from the rooster, so hopefully will start growing feathers soon.
