Food & water at night.

I give mine food and water at night, although they eat the food within 10 minutes and only use the water while they eat. I use a plastic Halloween bucket for their water so they can’t spill it. I usually let them have their water in the winter while they are eating, and then I go back out and take it because if I don’t it will freeze and I don’t want them to hurt themselves on it.

I like the mash idea. But seems they still may need a little water to get crumbles down even mixed with water. Those ducks make a grand mess even without the rubber bowl. I left just the large poultry water thing in there and it’s still a mess and they drink the whole thing or half of it. The other half is everywhere. I’m in Florida.

Ducks over the age of 6 weeks don't need food and water over night.
