Howdy All, currently sitting here with a bout of boredom and a good snag of cabin fever. (ready for spring) so I was thinking what to make for supper (the usual daily question) and then thought since I dont have much social media no FB no IG etc etc. I remembered I do have BYC! I would like to have or invite people to post pictures of what they had for Breakfast, Lunch, or Supper. Could be snacks, Could be something you want to try to make, anything! Also would love for this to be an exchange of recipes and ideas! Coming from a culinary background of sorts I love all things food. I love to see what others enjoy, it causes inspiration. So since I dont have many to share my own culinary creations with I'll post here ☺️ and encourage you to do the same. Perhaps it will end being an archive of my food pics which is okay too! Aha. Anyways, Food is done! What are we having 😁

Some Blueberry muffins to beat the winter blues! 😎

Got a Römertopf clay roaster finally! Made a simple yeast dough and cold fermented it for 48 hours. Soaked the roaster lid for 30 min and while I proofed once more and baked! Smells delicious. Letting it cool

That is BEAUTIFUL!!

Recipe please?!😂:drool

Simple yeast bread:

•3 1/4 cups bread flour
•1 1/2 cups warm water (enough to activate yeast)
•1 teaspoon salt (I used fresh ground sea salt)
•1 teaspoon dry yeast
•1 tablespoon oil of choice

Mix all ingredients. Cover with plastic and wait for two hours, place it in a warm area. Shape it and wait another 45 minutes to rise. This dough can stay in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. You don't have to preheat the pot. Place the pot on the middle rack.
Bake on 425 F 30 minutes with the lid and 10-15 minutes without the lid.

I did the usual two hour rise and did two stretch and folds throughout the two hour rise. And then transferred it into a lightly oiled ceramic bowl and let it ferment in the fridge! You can do as little as an hour or 48! The flavor really makes the difference.

It really is a blank canvas! Add milk or honey or I like to make a savory "dinner" bread with dried spices (garlic, onion, thyme, etc etc)
