If your main symptom is lack of laying, you will probably want to look at your lighting situation. I've heard around 14 hours of light per day is what is good for laying. If you are depending on natural lighting in the US, you are likely only getting 10-11 hours of light on your hens. Add supplimental lighting prior to sun up to extend the "day" and you will likely see an increase in laying.

Agree with some of the above that it's more likely shortened daylight and/or molting that's slowing down laying, not what you're feeding. Since I use 2 different feeds I opt for more protein/less calcium in the winter, when the birds aren't laying, but the change in feed ratio is the result of them not laying, not the cause.
