I was wondering what the difference between useing pellets and crumble with pheasants.
I currently use a gamebird crumble, but have noticed alot of people using the pellets.

Is there any advantages either way, or is it up to the owner?

I have noticed that they prefer crumbles over pellets. Although, if the pellets are fruit flavored, they'll go for them first!! Although I just keep 3 pheasants (I mention this only because I have noticed that in some circles, the more birds you have, the smarter you are, so I'm pretty dumb!!), I feed and fed in the past (and in the zoo field) crumbles mixed with grain. Offered parrot or softbill pellets as a treat whenever extra was available.

Once bought a bag of pellets by a mistake, the game birds would kick & scratch all the pellets out of the bowl and leave on the ground for me to clean.
