foot infection?

ive noticed nobules forming on some of the knuckles on one of my chickens's toes. im not sure if theyre signs of some kind of infection or something as benign as callouses. thought i'd take it up with those who know best just to be safe.

It looks like bumblefoot. Thankfully, you caught it in the early stages. so its kind of like really bad warts? would using wart freezer work?

Bumblefoot is when an infection becomes trapped inside of the skin. It causes bad pain and swelling, and can lead to really bad problems in the future. There are nerves and blood around it, so I don't think wart freezer would work. When it gets really bad, you have to cut open the wound and remove the "core", then let it heal (not fun at all!).

It appears to be an early stage of bumblefoot, as others have noted above. Soaking in an epsom salt foot bath each night would be good. No need to cut anything at that stage. It will take some time and may look worse before it gets better, as long as you've fixed what you can in their environment that may have caused it.

began testing the iodine and sugar method. mixed some up and slapped it on one of the lumps and wrapped it with tape. she didnt like it. had to keep squirming and kicking the whole way. she kicked the dish i hade made the mix in off my lap anf broke it. she tried to eat some of it as well and i think she may have succeed with a little so i hope she doesnt end up getting sick. sheesh these birds can be a handful

i think i will try the epsom salt bath as well. what concentration should i use and for how long do i soak her feet? does temperature of the water make a difference?

1 tsp per gallon in warm water (see link below), but I've used a little more than that in less water. A gallon of water is far too much to soak just feet, so you'd need to convert that number for less water.
Try to soak 10-15 minutes. Warm water might dissolve it faster, but that's just a guess.
