I LOOOOOOVED "feet pajamas" when I was a kid, my sister and I both loved when it got cold enough to wear them, but now as an adult I can't even sleep with socks on. Even when it' cold I frequently sleep with my feet sticking out of the covers - used to drive my mom batty coz she'd come cover them up and I'd stick them back out again. lol
I do however, have a pair of classic red wool blend "long johns" (no feet, obviously) that make SUPER DUPER pjs when it's cold, and work great for their intended purpose as a base layer if I'm wearing something like coveralls or insulated overalls. Some may say it doesn't get *that* cold in Arkasnas, but I'm cold natured, yet still love to be outdoors. Wool is my best friend. I've been known to walk my dog at night when it was 20*F out - wearing insulated hunting overalls.
So here is my question. Do you have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom at 4am? Sounds like a lot of work.
Kindof. I used to have a system where I'd unzip the front, and then pull one sleeve inside the other before peeling them down, so they didn't flop into the toilet water. I don't remember it being all that much of a problem, but then again we had a wood stove so it's not like I froze my tail when I had to pee. And I was a kid too, so I guess I didn't care. lol The bedrooms though, were furthest from the stove, and with 2 uninsulated outside walls, which made it cool enough at night to justify the warm pjs.
