My friend has a bird who is not drinking. I heard from her earlier and she needs suggestions. She said she tried dipping her beak in water already (its an easter egger bantam and is 3 weeks old). Any other suggestions?

How does she know it isn't drinking?
Try putting honey, agave nectar or sugar in the water.

She just started not drinking. She was fine until then. She sat with her for the day and she drank nothing. Every time she put her near the waterer the chick made a strange noise and went away. I will tell her to try honey in the water- thank you! -bbchickies

Honey doesn't dissolve well in water which is why I use agave but if she heats the water the honey will dissolve better when stirred. Then let it cool before providing it.
