For all those on my Welsummer eggs waiting list...

YEAH!!!!!! I'm actually glad I am down the list a little way. My bator is full right now.

And I still have to tel the hubby that it's not my "last" batch this year. LOL! I'm sure gald he REALLY loves me or me and my chickens would be out on the street! Oh well what do you do? At least I don't gamble.

CityChick as several people have told my hubby ( including his own father ) in response to his thoughts about me and chickens ....... there are much worse things I could be doing.
 
Would someone tell MY DH that? He thinks he's not going to be able to retire in 3 years due to my chicken obsession - hello, I only have ten (right now......)
 
Your not being silly at all, I would love to help describe this wonderful breed to you.

The welsummers are a Dutch breed, developed just after the turn of the 20th century. They were first shown in 1921. They are noted for their dark brown eggs of a terra-cotta color. They are a medium breed, generally non-setters, & great foragers. They are colored like partridge rocks. They are very beautiful birds, but I am a little partial!
