I house my adults and babies differently, babies can get very stressed in too large of an enclosure so I keep them in something smaller for awhile. The cheapest most economical way of doing it is in plastic containers, shoebox size for babies and an adult will be comfortable in a 28 qt or bigger. As long as your room temps stay above 65 or so (can be colder in the winter just dont feed as much) you dont need any type of heating for corns, in my experiance it seems they actually prefer it in the mid 70's. If you want something a bit prettier a 5 gallon aquarium works great for a baby and adults can lice comfortably in a 20 gallon. Whichever you choose a good locking and secure lid is an absolute must especially with babies, if there is any possible way to get out it will find it. Corns are so easy and adaptable they do well in nearly anything.
Thank You!! - For that minute in heaven!! Your snakes are GORGEOUS! Just when I thought I'd start listing off all the ones that made me drool, there are too many to list.
your snakes. . . Wish I had beauts like them. I've had Albino Burmese Pythons, Corn Snakes, and Ball Pythons (but certainly no special colors like yours) and I miss them.
BEAUTIFUL snakes! I would love to have a snake, but my mom hates them. Once I get my own apartment or house I will certainly have many! It kills me though because I'm away at college most of the year and they are such easy college pets to have. It's bringing them home that would be the problem!
I love your set up. What do you use to heat those containers with?
I don't know why I always insist on looking at snake threads....I so desperately want one...actually many...but I have to work on my fiance, he's afraid of them.
He has a legit reason, but since I was little I've always wanted snakes and I've been waiting patiently until I moved out. Now that I have, he doesn't want me to have any...it's enough to drive me insane.
Beautiful snakes! Those corns are just outstanding. How much time does it take you to take care of them? And does the shavings work best for bedding? Dumb ? but do they poop and pee much? I never thought about a snake and pooping very much.
