For anyone following Caylee Anthony

This just sickens me. Having always wanted a child and losing mine, there are so many in the world that would have taken this little angel if the mother did not want her.

Another thing to remember, the people in prison don't look to kindly on people who kill kids, especially their own kids. So when she gets life, it will likely be a miserable life, which IMO is still too good for her.

At the least those grandparents knew what happened, and were trying to cover for their daughter. And that should get some time as well... I don't care how much they love their daughter, to try cover up the murder of the granddaughter is just WRONG.

I love my son no matter what he does in his life, that doesn't mean I would cover up for a crime!!!! In fact, you are not doing your child any favors by covering up their failings, or crimes. Those grandparents need to be held accountable..... Of course they can always deny that they knew anything....

The women in prision will surely take care of her...it will hurt..and i'll be glad!..IMO she dosent deserve to die peacefully and easily....let them torture her in prision for a few years before they finally get her...

I have always wondered about that. They arrest you in the first place because they think you are aguilty of a crime. It's more like guilty until proven innocent. the state has the burden of proof, but the defense has the burden of resaonable doubt. Seems all kinda backwards to me.

I was thinking agout that too.
I thought that "Innocent until proven guilty" was usually more a call against vigilante justice than a call for noone to form their own conclusion before a court had ruled. As pointed out, they arrest someone, imprison them, and then find them guilty / not guilty (I do not even think that innocent is even a possible verdict).
Wouldn't true guilt or innocence occur at the moment that a crime is committed not at the moment of the legal verdict - it would be just terrible to sit there on trial and not even know if you did it or not. Add to that people have been found guilty who are not and vise-versa (which certainly happens more often by the way the system is set up).

Anyway, I am certainly glad that they are still planning on having a trial and that people are not required to use the standards of a court of law to form their own opinions.

There is no way, as human beings, we could ever be perfect, which means our judicial system will always and forever be flawed. However, it is the best system in the world for fairness. As Wendy points out, several innocent people are convicted, and if they were to be tortured and beaten as we have discussed our wishes about Caylee's mom, then innocent people would be suffering greatly.

Our anger and sadness at the demise of that precious child is what drives our comments, but at the end of the day, we have the best system to protect people in prison, jail or institutions.

If anyone would like to compare our system to say, Turkey, please watch the movie Midnight Express. True story.

our system IS flawed..and..no..its not always fair either.....but in this SPECIFIC case ..the lady did it...so therefore...yup..i do hope she gets it in prision....
