Any idea what breed the tan hen might be? she's from a group of assorted rainbow layers I got from Meyer's hatchery.

Perhaps a production red? I'm not the best one to answer though. Wait for someone else who's better versed.

Looks like a Cinnamon Queen, or red sex link.

She kinda looks wheaten colored to me but I dont know of hatcheries having an large fowl wheaten colored breeds.

I have looked over Meyer's selection and I'm sure she's not there. She has greenish gray legs and she Is Heavy compared to her other chicken friends ( a Welsummer, and a Silkie white rock cross) She lays very large, light brown round eggs and has a tendency to go broody.

If its a hatchery bird it could be a New Hampshire. My sisters kinda bleach out in the sun and get that exact wheaten kind of color in the summer. And (Pond), my favorite of her hens has that black speckling on her. What color are her legs??

She has greenish gray legs, and a dusting of gray black on the tips of her tail feathers.

Is it possible that the hatchery sent a mix?

Looks sorta like an Orp mix... maybe an EE??

She looks like a red sex link except for the darker color in her feathers. If she has greenish legs then I would guess an EE that didn't get the pea comb and colored egg laying gene.
