For Genetics Experts---2 Questions

Even though its a year late, to answer the barred wyandotte question Id say use barred rocks with great pattern but bad type. When I made my barred wyandotte bantams I started off with a cuckoo throwback from my blacks. I had a friend that bred barred rock bantams so I asked him to save me a cockerel with more loose feathering but good barring. I bred that rooster to the cuckoo hen and some solid dun hens and got birds with great barring. From there I bred them together and then crossed back to blacks to improve type. Remember that good barring and slow feathering go hand in hand.

If it's a true EE, does it matter if it has feathered legs?
