big momma, they are 1 quart jars that i found at wall mart for $4.00.. each.

the problem i had they were to wide so it was hard to stack the ingredients..

I thought this could use a 'bump' for those who want to make cookies in a jar for gifts this year.
I am going to make a bunch of mixes just to have in the pantry and add the
baking powder or soda before making the mix.

I make a bunch of quart jars with pre-measured flour salt sugar for my bread maker so all I have do do is dump it in and only have to deal with the flour dust but every so often.
I put the yeast in first, then the three cups of flour, sugar and salt according to the plain white recipe. I add sunflower seed or Italian seasoning mix during mixing if we want something different.

I need to find the cake mixes and brownie mixes on line so I can have some of those in the pantry too.
