For Sale: Black Silkie in Colorado

We are sadly giving away our precious Silkie, Little Britches, because his/her Silkie companion passed away. She is very lonely, and while our other "big chckens" dont pick on her, she does not associate with them at ALL, and just wants us to cuddle and stay with her. We're asking $20. We also won't ship her.

We are located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We would be willing to meet somewhere within a reasonable drive for pick up. She has the correct number of toes on each foot, and a straight beak, but her feathering is probably not good enough for showing. However, I have never showed Silkies, so if you think she is, go for it!

*edited to say: She is about 2.5 months old. I'm not sure of "her" sex.

I don't. I have 7 BR, 5 EEs, 2 LH, 2 RIR right now that are 6.5 weeks old. I've been reading on here about how friendly the Silkies are and that they're such great mamas and would like her to hatch out some chickies. I wouldn't be showing her at all.

Ahh sorry aussie! Thats our prolblem. We have other chickens too, and the Silkie absolutely refuses to associate with them. They don't pick on her, but she stays as far away from them as possible. It doesn't help that she doesnt like to roost either. She sleeps in a corner by herself. So we need to find her a home with someone who already has some Silkies "/ Sorry! I should have specified that in my post!

I am in colorado springs - I could take her - I currently have 3 silkies, and 2 other bantams ( a mille fleur and a bantam faverolle) and would give her a very loving backyard home

My silkies are about 4 weeks old so integration should not be too bad because she would be the oldest of the bunch ...
