FOR SALE/WANTED Stockton CA Pacific Poultry Breeders Show 1/25 - 1/27

Not that I was planning to, I've only entered birds I plan to keep, but can you sell birds that are being shown? 20+ years ago when my son was showing, that could be done. And it's the norm at cooped rabbit shows. When judging was finished all these for sale signs would pop up on the coop cards.

Deb

You can sell birds entered in the show anytime . You can only put "For Sale" on them after judging of that breed.

Hi,
I also (like everyone else...) have too many roosters and not enough hens.... If anyone is interested I have

blue and splash langshan roosters (very nice from Pawhead Poultry)

2 bantam salmon favorelle roosters

standard barnevelder roosters from TLS Ranch

I can bring them to Stockton if anyone wants them.

Thanks,
Laura

I have several blue and splash Langshan roosters from Pawhead! I haven't decided yet which ones get to stay in my breeding program. Are you breeding Langshan? It would be nice to know someone close who is also breeding them. I have also have birds from Jim Heinz in Iowa (mrheinz77) and Mikaela (rodriguezpoultry). It is very interesting to see the differences in their lines.

I have available black silkie hens (all good quality, some are way out of condition have been in breeding pens), and a white trio (cockerel is from very good/expensive stock and hens are decent), for right price might sell two splash silkie hens from Amy Jo Piehl who no longer raises blue/splash.

Also available if I am able to pre-sell enough to make it worth bringing the truck-

- 1 gray confirmed fertile female smooth breasted gray sebastopol goose from Holderreads
- 2 Female 1 male white sebastopol trio one female and the male proven fertile, other female 2012 hatch coming into first breeding season.
- Toulouse (what people call 'dewlap toulouse') 2012 hatch from stock I actively show, $300 a pair. One of my 2012 females has been shown twice with two best heavy and reserve goose to her name, one of my older geese was champion goose at the IWBA National held in Stevenson, WA.

Geese, splash silkies, and white silkies must be pre-sold in order to be brought to the show.
Here are some pictures of 2011 and 2012 toulouse. These birds were hatched in May through late June and the pictures were taken 11/5/2012

Sebastopols, this is the male. These pictures were taken in mid-October.

Females mid-October

I am breeding langshans though I am just starting. My langshans have only started laying and I haven't started incubating yet. It has been so COLD here lately I have been afraid to set up the brooder!!! The eggs have tasted good anyways... I would love to get together sometime and compare what we have. I am NE of Sacramento in the Sierra foothills. (Browns Valley or technically rural Marysville hills).
