I think I have PM'd everyone who has these already posted in this thread, but I thought I should do a WANTED post as well. I am looking for:

FOUND-LF Marans Pullets (chicks OK) from dark egg laying stock. I am not going to show or breed the birds, defects are fine with me, but I like a productive bird and a dark egg. Blue, Wheaten, or Black Copper OK as long as the eggs are dark.

LF SL Wyandotte Pullets (chicks OK) from a nice breeder line that will give me eggs through the winter? :)

I am not planning on going to Stockton unless I can have pre-arranged birds.

I have a dilemma. I would REALLY like to pick up either a roo or a pair of hand-raised, very VERY sociable quail Belgian d'Anvers birds, but I can't make the show! *AUGH!* If someone who lives within reasonable spitting distance of Oroville (above Sacto), perhaps they could get in touch? Two years ago, I got the most lovely, people-engaged little pullet who is now the NEATEST little character at that show, raised by a 4Her. I'd love to get her a mate of her own breed (although she and the splash Serama are hitting it off nicely-- hoping for highly decorative chicks!)

I raise for fun--not for show, so character/personality is more important to me.

The other thing I would certainly like to talk to someone about is SMALL Bantam Orpington hens, preferably black/blue/splash.

If you can help, please email me...and have a great time at the show while I'm off spinning my little fingers off in the hills! :)
 

This silkie pullet may or may not be sold, but I have several pullets of this quality and better available for sale. Presales only, as I am coming from WA and there won't be much room, plus it's a long haul to take a bird there and back again. Mostly blacks available.

  • Red, Brown, and Speckled Sussex
  • Belgian d'Uccle Roo
  • Crevecours
  • La Fleche
  • D'Anvers
  • Chantecler
  • De Watermael
  • Wheaten Marans - possibly Coppers if they are really nice

Hi karen!!!! The girls are doing great! Just today someone laid their 1st egg! I took this picture of them right before bedtime a few days ago. They will all be at the Stockton show so come find me and say hello. :)

Heck no! I just bought them from Karen (Chilifur) last month. I needed new blood with my Bantam Polishes and they fit in nicely here. :)

LOL! Good, they are adorable. I especially like the Dun girl in the middle. The more I see bantam Polish, the more I like them...
