I'll bet you know this one easy.

Who was Oliver Wendell Douglas, what was his tractor
and where did he get it?

I don't rightly-know, Spook.

But, I'd GUESS that his tractor was an "Oliver" and he got it from Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy ???

THE Curmudgeon
( Did he have a Hungarian wife ? )

Edited to add: Is this trivia about TRACTORS.....or Big-City Lawyers ?

In the show, Green Acres, Mr. Douglas has a
"Hoyt-Clagwell" farm tractor.

Hoyt-Clagwell never existed. The tractor was really
a 1918 Fordson Model F with hollywood modifications.

** "Fordson" brand farm tractors were built by Ford, while
early "Ford" tractors were not built by Ford Motor Company.

Green Acres was a Ford sponsored show, and I think all the
cars and trucks were Ford products.

Mr. Douglas bought the farm from Mr. Haney, who was married
but you never saw his wife. He once said he kept their marriage
license on the wall and threw darts at it.

Ya just had to do it, didn't ya Spook!! Now that stupid opening song is looping in my brain!
Thanks a LOT!!

I used to watch that show.

But we all know...

"Green Acres is the place to be..."

or perhaps you would rather stop at the junction?

(Petticoat Junction)

Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction.

I saw that show once or twice.....don't recall if I ever watched it all the way through a segment.
I've never been much of a watcher of T.V......except an occasional Football Game OR a significant NEWS story (rarely significant)....

Thanks for the offer Spook, but "farm livin' is the life for me"!
Unfortunately I remember most of them as well!
