(duh!!)@Sinful chick if you're looking for someone to come over and give you a hand with Cooper, you may be able to find someone close to you by posting on your state thread:
Texas
He's a very handsome guy, I hope he's better soon. Best of luck to you!
I confuse myself!! I don't have time to be 24/7. Im lucky I don't worK, however, I do have to go out-of-town overnight soon, and I don't know what to do! (with him especially...I have 3 others, too) If I found someone who would handle him like their own child, I would give him up. (sadly)Are you trying to give him away? or look for advice? I'm confused by your post and where you posted it.

Forums are topics, like the one we're in now, "Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries". Threads are conversations within the forums. You started a thread when you made your first post!
If you click on this link, byc-frequently-asked-questions-faq.47654, you'll be on a screen with lots of links that will help explain how BYC functions. There's even a video demo there on how to use BYC.
I hope this helps clear up a couple of things. And once again, best of luck with your sweet boy!

You peeps are amazing!! So helpful!! ok...,He can't walk, peck solid food, (He's trying and getting better, though!) or hold his head steady for a long period of time. He can see (before, his eyes were swollen shut). His eyes tell me he knows he's lucky and loves me for caring and helping him. ..(I know that sounds ridiculously mushy, but his eyes will melt you!!) There are no visual wounds except for a few cuts on his comb that are healing fine. The closest family member I have lives in San Antonio about 60+ miles from here. What's a chick to do? (boo!!)Can he stand and walk? Is he having any major problems? It can take weeks to nurse an injured chicken, especially if they cannot get to food and water or if they can’t walk. Can he see okay? Does he have wounds? The more details you can give the better we may help. You might be able to get a family member or friend to care for him if you can simplify his care. Some people tube feed their birds who temporarily cannot eat and drink.
Here is a thread on tube feeding:
