See, now race for me was a non-issue. I am glad in that aspect that he won because we are over that hurdle now and maybe next time a person of color runs,people can get past something he(or she) can't help,and focus more on what he or she can help,their values. Really, the man is black and white and I would think that is a great leap forward,especially for children of bi-racial marriages. For years we have been told that these children suffer because of the race of their parents. If that was true,maybe this will stop that horrible type of discrimination.

If McCain had won... I would be uneasy.... but I would have worked to get past it and hope that he would do right by the country even if he didn't exactly mesh with my ideals. I don't hate Republicans and I don't love Democrats...... Well, we are talking about 10 second sound bites here. Maybe off-camera they expanded on their reasons for voting. Of course they are proud that an African-American won the Presidency! Why wouldn't they be?

so, they are proud of the next president that is black... therefore, they have no idea what they voted for? Not ganging up on you, TX. Just explain how you can come to this conclusion based solely on some "people interviewed"

Texasmama, believe me, I hear ya! I did much research and saw his transformation during the campaign. I believe the first time he had an American flag on his suit was a few weeks before defeating Hilary. I know his wife gave I hate America speeches and openly said this was the first time she was proud of America...is when her black husband got GOP....well, what about all these other great things that America has done before that???!

Im just saying Im going to respect the position he holds and hope he does right from here. and that all his corrupt buddies don't wind up making even more billions of dollars off of us.

No president should be made fun of like everyone did to G.W. It shows no class and lets other countries know how weak and divided we are.
