...how/when did you receive your shipping confirmation? I ordered on 5/26 and I received an email saying I would get confirmation of my ship date within 10 days, either by email, post or phone. My debit card has not yet been charged for my order. I know it hasn't been 10 days yet...I'm just dreadfully impatient and I'm eager to know whether my desired ship date was available, so I'm wondering how and when to expect that confirmation. Thanks!

hatcheries are really busy this year. I'd give them a few more days. How did you place your order? (phone, mail, internet)

I ordered them online. I know they're busy...but I'm trying so hard to be patient and I'm failing miserably!

I guess I could be getting the coop and brooder ready instead of checking my email every 2 minutes...

Just call them and ask them. When i was ordering chicks i probably changed my order 4 times and called back to ask questions. They were always super nice and told me thats why there are there.
I got great customer service from Meyers Hatchery.

Meyers tells you the ship date when you order. I called to confirm my order 2 days prior just to be sure and everything went real well. They shipped my chicks out at 3pm on monday and i had them a 3:30am tuesday.

Call them and then have some ice tea or lemon aid and go sit on your porch swing or cozy chair and relax.

Breath in....Breath out.

They take FOREVER. I have not gotten my first shipment from them yet, so I can't say how they will be. But, their confirmation took a long, long time.

I have usually gotten my confirmation about 2 weeks before the order was shipped. I have only ordered from them twice, the first one took about 4 weeks from time of order to be shipped, and the second about 3 weeks.

I also ordered from Cacklehatchery, my order was on 5/28. Recieved the same message about being notified. They did say 10 days~ If you go to the web site they also say that as soon as the order is placed they will charge your card since the chicks have basically been "sold" If your card has not been charged perhaps something went amiss. I'd call them to check on the status of the order. I know its hard (for me also) but I guess we need to be patient! Good luck

I went to the website and saw this message:

Internet orders are being processed in the order received and be assured if you have an order number; your order is being processed. When ordering by internet you will receive an immediate e-mail response notifying you we have your order in house when processing an order online. 1-10 days later, you will receive a 2nd e-mail notifying you when we have secured your order to your scheduled hatch/ship date. This second e-mail can take up to 10 days. Check your Spam software or possible wrong e-mail address given to us, if you have not received a scheduled hatch/ship date by 10 days after your order date. If your e-mail address given to us is correct and your SPAM software has not blocked our e-mail, please be patient. We are hatching 140,000 birds weekly and securing your order and hatch/ship date as soon as humanly possible.

...so I guess I just need to be more patient! <sigh> I'll just comfort myself with the vision of my little eggies incubatin' away...

I there another hatchery that you an order from and get your chicks alot quicker? Meyers hatchery had theirs to me within a week of calling them....this will be my third order from them.
