for those who use sand in brooders

How do you scoop the poop? My chickies are almost 2 weeks old and thier tiny poops fall right through the kitty litter scoop.

You could also overlap hardware cloth o the scoop and that will make the holes much smaller but still able to sift the sand.

Try a reptile litter scoop. I don't use sand, though.

I use a fine mesh metal organizer basket.

You could also try a colander with fine mesh or a deep fry ladle.
